We recently took a life-changing trip to Whistler, BC, with a group of 7 skiers and snowboarders. While the breathtaking scenery and epic runs were unforgettable, what truly stood out was how these riders are beginning to root their identity in Christ, not just in their abilities on the mountain.

Throughout the weekend, we dug deep into what it means to follow Jesus and find our true identity in Him. Between carving lines, hitting the park and hiking to the peaks, we shared conversations about faith, purpose and what it looks like to live for something greater than just the next trick.
It really blew me away watching these teenage riders gather to pray before dropping in. Imagine that: a group of rowdy skiers and snowboarders, adrenaline pumping, pausing mid-mountain to pray for each other before hitting the big jump lines. It even gained the attention of others who struck up a conversation and high fived before dropping in. It was a powerful reminder that their faith isn’t just something they talk about, it’s something they live out.

And, of course, the riding didn’t disappoint! A few of the guys landed new tricks, including a few double backflips! The sense of camaraderie as they cheered each other on was incredible. These moments reflect the heart of what JSAW is all about: Making riders into disciples so they can find their identity in Christ and build a faith that carries them through life on and off the slopes.
Thank you for partnering with JSAW to make experiences like this possible. Your support is helping transform lives, one rider at a time.
Will you contribute to JSAW’s snow program fund to give more riders opportunities like this?
