Saturday, August 2nd Ian and I with the help of our friend David Terro brought our mobile skatepark to Estherville, Iowa’s annual Sweet Corn Days. Pastor Joel of Estherville Lutheran Church brought us out to reach out to the youth in the area. We set up a booth and our park to help draw people in and hopefully build some relationships and help the church bring youth into their congregation. It was also an opportunity for us to sell some product from our shop and spread awareness of who JSAW is and what we do. We believe our biggest success with this trip would be suggesting the pastors in the area to just reach out to the youth in their area in simple, genuine, loving ways (ex. bringing water to the local skatepark and getting to know the kids) to further God’s kingdom rather than just pointing them to church without them seeing the Love of God lived out in their own community.
