Your story. It matters. Not because it is all about you, but because God’s love and grace is written all over it.
Have you ever felt intimidated by another person’s story? How often do you think about, or share, your own story? It can be really difficult to genuinely share Christ’s love and grace if we aren’t aware of it’s depth in our own lives.
Maybe you feel like your story is “simple”, or maybe your story is marked by a lot of trauma. No matter what your story is, you were once “dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world…But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved” (Ephesians 2:2, 4, 5).
You were once dead, and are now ALIVE! Not only that, but it is God’s grace and love that saved you! Now that is totally worth sharing with those around you. We are called to declare God’s “glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples” (Psalm 96:3).
So, do you have humble confidence in the story God has given you? It is the unique story of His work in your life!
I challenge you to share with others how God has been working in your life, and not out of self-focus, but out of pure confidence in Christ’s spectacular and unique work in each of our lives.
What’s your story? We’d love to hear it.
